5 Vastu Tips to follow in Holi

Holi is the festival of colors and is celebrated on the last full moon day of the month of Phalgun. It usually comes in March which is also a season for a change in weather from winters to spring. Holi is also a celebration of the victory of good over evil. Bonfire is lit at the night before Holi to signify the burning of demoness Holika.

As Holi is the festival of colors, let’s see how scientifically colors can be used to enhance your life based on ancient Indian sciences i.e. Vastu Shastra and Astrology.

1. Holi colors:

White, yellow and red colors are very powerful as they are the colors of Moon, Mars, and Jupiter respectively. As Holi is on a full moon, one should wear white clothes and play with red and yellow Gulal. As Mars and Jupiter are friends of the moon, this combination gives a lot of strength to your mind.

2. Color the Forehead:

Applying bright colors (especially red) on forehead strengthens the Muladhara (first) chakra located at the root of the spine. Mooladhar chakra gives confidence, fearlessness, stability in life. Similarly applying yellow on the forehead will strengthen your passion and ambition positively.

3. Strengthen your Saturn:

A lot of people spoil the auspicious festival and their Saturn too by drinking alcohol on Holi. This is very harmful as by doing so you spoil your own Saturn, which is important for discipline, consistency, hard work, patience and success.

4. Do not waste water:

Whenever you waste water, you are wasting your own liquid cash and other resources you have.Start the practice of conserving water from this Holi and strengthen your moon.

5. Keep your entrance inviting:

On this auspicious day as many people visit each other house, one should keep the entrance clean and inviting. You can keep flowers at your entrance, as it is very auspicious especially on Holi.
